It can actually be easier as an employee.
Entrepreneurship is hard.
The key as an employee is to start investing early and often.
- Decide how much you plan to invest.
- The higher percentage of your salary you invest the sooner you’ll get there.
- Decide on your investment vehicle.
- I use S&P 500 index funds. They’re very low cost (important) and buy all the stocks in the S&P.
- Have your employer automatically put the percentage you decide directly into your investment account?
- This automates your investment.
- If your company offers a 401k and match, put enough into your 401k to get the full match.
- Keep doing this until you are wealthy.
- No financial advisor is needed. Better if you don’t have one.
